Franklin Rodeo 50/50 Cash Raffle – Terms and Conditions

Overview: These rules explain how the Franklin Rodeo 50/50 Cash Raffle works. The Franklin Noon Rotary Charitable Foundation (a nonprofit charity) is running this raffle to raise money for the community. By buying a ticket, you agree to these rules.

Ticket Prices and Purchase Options; Adults Only: You must be 18 years or older to buy a ticket and win the prize. Tickets cannot be purchased by or for minors (under 18).

You may purchase as many tickets as you like. Ticket bundles are available at the following prices:

  • $10 for 2 tickets
  • $25 for 10 tickets
  • $50 for 25 tickets
  • $100 for 100 tickets
Drawing Date & Time: The random drawing will take place on May 17, 2025, at 9:00 PM CT (during the Franklin Rodeo event). No tickets will be sold after the cut-off time right before the drawing.

How the Raffle Works

  • Ticket Purchase: You buy raffle tickets (see prices below). All the money from ticket sales goes into a cash jackpot.
  • 50/50 Cash Split: At the end of the raffle, one winner will get 50% of the total money in the jackpot as the prize, minus withholding tax. The other 50% goes to the Franklin Noon Rotary Charitable Foundation to support its charitable work.
  • Random Drawing: A computer will randomly pick one winning ticket number from all tickets sold. This draw will happen on May 17, 2025, at 9:00 PM Central Time (CT). You do not need to be present at the drawing to win. The winner will be announced at the event and contacted using the information provided.

Who Can Enter (Eligibility)

  • Adults Only: You must be 18 years or older to buy a ticket and win the prize. Tickets cannot be purchased by or for minors (under 18).
  • Location: The raffle is void where prohibited by law.
  • Honesty: By purchasing, you confirm that you meet these eligibility rules. If a winner is found to be under 18 or otherwise ineligible, they will not receive the prize.

Each ticket gives you one entry into the raffle drawing. You will receive your ticket numbers as confirmation after purchase. All ticket sales are final.

Tickets may be purchased via the link or QR below, and at the Franklin Rodeo event arena, May 15-17, 2025.

(Note: Ticket purchases are not tax-deductible donations to the charity, because they are payment for a chance to win a prize.)

Drawing Date and Winner Selection

  • Drawing Date & Time: The random drawing will take place on May 17, 2025, at 9:00 PM CT (during the Franklin Rodeo event). No tickets will be sold after the cut-off time right before the drawing.
  • Selection Method: The winning ticket will be selected by a random computer-generated draw from all eligible tickets. This ensures everyone has a fair and equal chance.
  • Need Not Be Present: You do not need to be present to win the raffle. The winner’s name and ticket number will be announced at the Rodeo, and the organizers will also contact the winner using phone or email information provided. Make sure your contact information is correct when you buy your ticket.

Prize and Prize Distribution

  • Prize Amount: There will be one winner. The winner wins 50% of the total ticket sales (jackpot) as a cash prize. For example, if $10,000 worth of tickets are sold, the winner gets $5,000.
  • Charity Portion: The remaining 50% of ticket sales goes to the Franklin Noon Rotary Charitable Foundation. This money will help fund the Foundation’s charitable projects. The Franklin Noon Rotary has a long history of using rodeo funds to help the community, having reinvested millions of dollars in local causes over the years. The funds from this raffle will support over 63+ local charities in Williamson County, Tennessee, including programs for education, health, and community services.
  • Taxes: If the winner's prize exceeds $5,000, the Foundation is required by federal law to withhold 24% of the winnings for federal income tax. This means the winner will receive the prize amount minus this tax withholding. The winner is responsible for any additional taxes and should consult a tax professional. See irs.gov for full information.
  • Odds of Winning: Your chance of winning depends on how many tickets are sold. The more tickets you buy, the more chances you have, but there is no guarantee of winning since the drawing is random.

Important Rules and Policies

  • No Refunds: All ticket sales are final – we cannot give you a refund if you change your mind. Please be sure you want to participate before you purchase.
  • Ticket Transfer: After purchase, you cannot officially refund a ticket, but you may give your ticket to someone else if allowed by Tennessee law. (In other words, the raffle ticket is transferable to another eligible adult before the drawing, as long as doing so does not violate any laws.)
  • Identification: The winner must provide proper identification and the winning ticket information when claiming the prize. Only the person with the winning ticket (and who meets eligibility requirements) can claim the prize.
  • Void Where Prohibited: This raffle follows all applicable laws and regulations. It is void where prohibited by law.
  • Compliance with Law: The Franklin Noon Rotary Charitable Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit and has permission from the State of Tennessee to hold this charitable raffle. The raffle is being conducted in accordance with Tennessee’s Charitable Gaming Law and overseen by the Tennessee Division of Charitable Solicitations and Gaming. All local, state, and federal laws apply.
